An Evening With The Heritage Boys - SOLD OUT

Back by popular demand! Please join us on May 30th for an evening of live music with The Heritage Boys playing gems from the 1950s and 1960s.

Andy Burton, Peter Johnson and Ian Whitaker formed The Heritage Boys in November 2012 as a bit of fun for a fundraising event in January 2013 which was expected to be a one off. However, that event led to requests for several more appearances in 2013 and a full programme of gigs every year (apart from during Covid) until their grand finale in January 2023 – exactly ten years after their first performance. Over their ten years as a band The Heritage Boys played at 104 gigs, mostly in North Yorkshire but also in Germany, Italy and France and other parts of England.

The Heritage Boys made no charge for performing, just raised money for charities. Over their ten years they raised a total of £65,383.00, of which £35,024.00 went to Yorkshire Air Ambulance, £5,082.00 to Help for Heroes and £25,277.00 to other local charities including Yorkshire Cancer Research. In 2018 they were delighted to receive an ‘Outstanding Fundraising Award’ from Yorkshire Air Ambulance, and in 2019 to play at Yorkshire Air Ambulance’s Recognition Awards event.

The Heritage Boys would like to thank all the people who invited them to play and who supported all the gigs over a ten-year period. They had a lot of fun.
