James Thorn, Branch Manager, Hunters Estate Agents
Our speaker, Club Member James Thorn, is an estate agent from Harrogate. He began his career with Foxtons Estate Agents in central London before returning to his roots in the north. Since 2015, James has progressed from negotiator to branch manager at Hunters Estate Agents Harrogate, while also building his own property portfolio.
With over a decade of experience in the industry, James has witnessed significant changes across the property landscape. The introduction of the Renters’ Rights Act 2025 is already having a major impact, influencing landlord and tenant behaviour, rental values, and investment trends. From landlords exiting the market to larger investors expanding their portfolios, this session will explore what these changes mean for landlords, investors, and the wider market.
