We’re delighted to welcome Martin Lunn MBE to Harrogate Club for our Speaker Dinner on Saturday 12th September.
Martin’s credentials speak for themselves. He served as Curator of Astronomy at the Yorkshire Museum in York from 1989 until 2011, is a Fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society, and was awarded an MBE for services to astronomy and education.
He now presents a weekly astronomy show on community radio and travels the world giving lectures on cruise ships, as well as speaking to clubs and societies closer to home.
For this special evening, Martin will open up the fascinating world of our solar system, taking us beyond the planets we know to explore their moons and the countless smaller bodies – from dwarf planets to comets and meteors.
